"Their stories are not just about individual success but are narratives of hope, resilience, and empowerment that we hope will inspire countless others."
Sherriff's remarkable path is a reflection of her drive and determination. She is a distinguished graduate of both the 'Women on the Run' and 'Women on the Bench' programs. Demonstrating her commitment to advancing women in law, Sherriff co-chaired the 'Women on the Bench' program for several years, playing a pivotal role in empowering female attorneys to pursue judicial seats through both nomination and election. Furthermore, her engagement with the 'Women on the Run' program, a nonpartisan campaign training and mentorship initiative, underscores her dedication to seeing more women in political office. Sherriff’s journey from these programs to her investiture stands as a testament to the Women’s Foundation’s success in empowering women leaders.
With the recent kickoff of the Fall 2023 "Women on the Run" cohort, which saw the participation of 24 women from across Florida, the forthcoming investiture of Danielle Sherriff serves as a highlight of the program's impact. Since their start in 2013, both "Women on the Run" and "Women on the Bench" have been key in guiding women toward elected leadership roles. Beyond just training, they provide the tools and support for women to run for and win elected positions. The Women’s Foundation is proud to see its graduates, like Sherriff, making significant contributions in their communities. Their successes underscore the Women’s Foundation's commitment to nurturing women leaders who are poised to effect meaningful change in their communities.
The Women's Foundation of Florida is deeply committed to its vision that all women and girls are visible, valued and heard across the state. They celebrate every woman who dares to dream, leads with purpose, and champions change. The Board is co-chaired by Gunster Shareholder, Nicole Atkinson, and former West Palm Beach mayor, Jeri Muoio.
