Sherriff's commitment to service and leadership is a beacon for many, and her role as a judge is a proud moment for all who have witnessed her journey. As she readies herself to serve the Palm Beach County community as a judge, her significant milestone spotlights the Women’s Foundation's passion for nurturing and empowering women in leadership. Sherriff's appointment to the 15th Judicial Circuit Court by the Governor is a testament to her commitment and resolve to the kind of leadership the Women’s Foundation both supports and inspires. She joins the distinguished lineage of Women’s Foundation board members who have dedicated their livesfe to public service. Women’s Foundation co-founder Judge Samantha Schosberg Feuer, has been a trailblazer in her own right. Further testament to this commitment to leadership and service are former board members Dorothy Jacks, current PBC Property Appraiser, and current Board Co-Chair Jeri Muoio, former West Palm Beach Mayor. While bBoard members Karen Velez and Shelly Albright have also showcased their dedication by stepping forward to run for office. Sherriff's remarkable path is a reflection of her drive and determination. She is a distinguished graduate of both the 'Women on the Run' and 'Women on the Bench' programs. Demonstrating her commitment to advancing women in law, Sherriff co-chaired the 'Women on the Bench' program for several years, playing a pivotal role in empowering female attorneys to pursue judicial seats through both nomination and election. Furthermore, her engagement with the 'Women on the Run' program, a nonpartisan campaign training and mentorship initiative, underscores her dedication to seeing more women in political office. Sherriff’s journey from these programs to her investiture stands as a testament to the Women’s Foundation’s success in empowering women leaders. With the recent kickoff of the Fall 2023 "Women on the Run" cohort, which saw the participation of 24 women from across Florida, the forthcoming investiture of Danielle Sherriff serves as a highlight of the program's impact. Since their start in 2013, both "Women on the Run" and "Women on the Bench" have been key in guiding women toward elected leadership roles. Beyond just training, they provide the tools and support for women to run for and win elected positions. The Women’s Foundation is proud to see its graduates, like Sherriff, making significant contributions in their communities.
