Giving Circle

The Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County launched our first giving circle in October 2015. Together, a group of women each contributed $250 to leverage their collective investment in a strategic and purposeful way: making local micro-grants to empower women and girls in Palm Beach County.

Women’s giving circles are an important part of the contemporary women’s philanthropy and advocacy movement. Our collective donations are used for grants to create social change. Together we invest in projects led by and for women and girls. In fact, giving circle members are directly involved in the grantmaking process. We jointly solicit proposals, learn more about the needs of the community and enable women and girls to take action. As a member of the giving circle, you will be a catalyst for positive change while connecting, collaborating and celebrating with other women leaders like you.
Women of all ages and professions are invited to join the circle at a minimum commitment of $250. Together we will build a community of philanthropists and advocates, dedicated to investing in women’s and girls’ leadership and positively affecting their economic, social and political status.

Giving Circle members make a minimum donation of $250 for the collective grant distribution and a $25 administrative fee that helps defray costs associated with the grants process and meetings.  For more information, please contact Takeata King Pang  at Takeata@WomensFoundationFL.org.

Grantmaking

The 2019 Grant Process has been completed.  Please check back for updates and the 2020 Giving Circle Application.

The Women’s Foundation of Florida awards micro-grants to support local Palm Beach County projects that empower women/girls and create social change. Grants range from $1,000 to $2,500. Projects may include advocacy, education, leadership development, life skills development, mentoring, skills development, trainings, and more, but should not focus on delivery of direct service. While direct service is incredibly valuable and needed, this grant program focuses on addressing the root causes of obstacles impacting women and girls. Competitive grant applications will focus on projects empowering women and girls to challenge the status quo, build their leadership, and lead positive change in Palm Beach County.
