Train. Lead. Run. Serve.

Women on the Run is the Women’s Foundation of Florida’s nonpartisan training and mentorship program for women who are ready to lead in public life.

Whether participants are interested in running for elected office, working on campaigns, serving on boards, advocating for their communities, or stepping into civic leadership, Women on the Run provides the skills, confidence, and network to help them move forward with purpose.

Through interactive workshops, mentorship, and real-world campaign training, participants learn how to build their leadership voice, understand the political process, communicate their values, and create meaningful change in their communities.

Program Highlights:
  • Comprehensive Training Participants learn the fundamentals of running for office, campaign strategy, fundraising, messaging, public speaking, leadership, and community engagement.
  • Expert Guidance Training is led by current and former elected officials, campaign professionals, civic leaders, and experienced advocates who provide practical insight and mentorship.
  • Powerful Network Participants join a statewide network of women who are shaping Florida’s political, civic, and community leadership landscape.
  • Nonpartisan Leadership Development Women on the Run is open to women across the political spectrum who are committed to public service, civic engagement, and strengthening their communities.
Program Details:
  • Duration: Cohort style Program beginning this Summer.
  • Locations: Virtual workshops and training
  • Cost: The cost to cover the full program is $250. Scholarships are available.
Why Women on the Run? Women bring lived experience, bold ideas, collaborative leadership, and urgent perspective to public decision-making. Yet women still face barriers when seeking elected office, campaign leadership, and civic power.

Women on the Run helps break down those barriers.

This program equips women with the tools, training, and support to lead with confidence, navigate public life, and step into roles where decisions are made.

Get Involved:
  • Nominate a Leader: Know a woman who should be encouraged to run, lead, serve, or step into public leadership? Nominate her for a future Women on the Run cohort.
  • Join the Interest List: Interested in participating in a future cohort? Complete the Women on the Run interest form to stay connected.
  • Donate to the Scholarship Fund:  Your gift helps make Women on the Run accessible to more women across Florida. A donation of $250 covers the cost for one woman to participate in the full program.
