She is a past-President of the Florida Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers (FCIAAO), and a past Board Member for the International Association of Assessing Officers where she serves a Chair of the International Special CommitteeMs. Jacks joined the Property Appraiser’s Office in 1988. As the Chief Deputy Property Appraiser she is responsible for the office’s public services functions. They include overseeing the five Service Centers, ownership; exemption services; Information Technology, mapping/GIS sections, public records and PAPA, the Property Appraiser’s award-winning Web site.
Ms. Jacks is very involved throughout the community. In addition to her involvement with the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County, she is the current President of Friends of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach. She is the past President of Executive Women of the Palm Beaches. Past leadership roles include Leadership Palm Beach County (Class of 1996, Past Board Member, Co-Chair Class of 2006, YOUTH Leadership); Adult Literacy Volunteer (1998 – 2001); Child Advocacy/Leadership Palm Beach County (One Child at a Time Award, 2001); International Association of Assessing Officers (President’s Award, Florida Chapter, 2003).
A graduate of the University of Florida and the Palm Beach County School System, Ms. Jacks now lives in a historic home in downtown West Palm Beach with her husband Britt Deviney.
