WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (April 6, 2016) – More than 300 business leaders, legal professionals and elected officials attended The Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County’s sixth annual Raise the Bar reception on Tuesday, April 5th at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The highly anticipated event raised more than $60,000 to benefit Women’s Foundation programs. Liz Quirantes of CBS 12 News emceed the event.
The Office Depot Foundation joined this year as the presenting sponsor. The crowd viewed a video message from Mary Wong, President of the Office Depot Foundation as she discussed the importance of empowering women and girls to become more effective leaders. Guests also watched a short video featuring the programs and efforts of the Women’s Foundation while making new connections to empower women and girls across Palm Beach County.
“Raise the Bar brings the community together to invest in women and girls as a catalyst for social change,” said Nicole Atkinson, Chair of Raise the Bar and the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County Board of Directors. “We thank the 60 plus sponsors of Raise the Bar that help ensure the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County has critical funds for our leadership programs such as Women on the Run and our Girls Leadership Institute.”
