Samantha Schosberg Feuer, is an experienced trial attorney at Akerman Senterfitt in West Palm Beach who concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation with a focus on representation of clients in the investigation and litigation of civil racketeering (RICO) and related matters. Additionally, she defends corporations in state and federal government investigations and lawsuits involving claims of false advertising, fraud, and unfair business practices under Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). Samantha also has substantial experience in the investigation and defense of employment litigation for management including non-compete agreements, theft of trade secrets, and discrimination in the workplace.
Before joining Akerman, Samantha was an Assistant Attorney General and the South Florida Bureau Chief for the Consumer Protection Unit in the State of Florida Attorney General’s Office. As Bureau Chief, Samantha supervised 30 employees and three offices, including attorneys, investigators, paralegals and secretaries. She has handled and supervised civil prosecution and complex litigation mortgage fraud, timeshare and telemarketing fraud, debt collection fraud and deceptive advertising and has collaborated with state and local law enforcement and the Federal Trade Commission in the filing of lawsuits, injunctions and asset freezes against major corporations. Samantha has also spoken on panels about consumer protection, including but not limited to, the National Association of Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) and the American Resort Development Association (ARDA).
Samantha was recognized as a “Top Government Attorney in South Florida” by the South Florida Legal Guide and “Top Government Attorney in Florida” by Florida Trend’s Legal Elite from 2010 to 2013. The “Leaders in the Law” award from the State Florida Association for Women Lawyers was presented to her in 2011. Additionally, Samantha was awarded Manager of the Year in 2012 by the Attorney General’s Office for her work as South Florida Bureau Chief. Most recently, Samantha received the Woman of Valor award in 2012 from the American Jewish Committee of Palm Beach County and was selected as a Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce Athena Award Finalist.
Samantha is a community activist and co-founded the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County. She holds leadership roles in the State Association for Women Lawyers, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers – Palm Beach Chapter, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches State Public Affairs Committee, Palm Beach County Bar Diversity Committee, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Palm Beach County. She is a member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches and has been Chair of the Raise the Bar event for the past three years.
Samantha received a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University, with a double major in International Relations and Spanish and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. She lives in Lake Clarke Shores, Florida with her husband Leonard, her two children Sophia and Jack and her two dogs Bella and Javert.
